Brothers Making a Difference (BMAD) was the first male mentoring program for the Young Scholars Program. It was founded in 2004. In 2008, BMAD became the Peer Leadership team for P2BK. The young men of BMAD are the personification of the goals of YSP. Mr. Ronald Mack and Mr. Charles Goshey are the current Coordinators. In order to become BMAD, young men have to complete the application process and interview with a panel of mentors. Once the selection process is completed, an induction ceremony is held at a community event. At this event the young men receive the coveted BMAD wool Bomber Jacket and every man in the audience welcomes them to a new phase of their ascension to manhood. BMAD is the Soul of the Brotherhood.
